Pioneer Balloon Company July 17 closure:
From Dan Flynn, CEO: Pioneer’s Chapter 11 proceeded with the sale of substantially all of Pioneer’s assets to our senior secured creditor occurring on June 28, 2024.
We very much appreciate all the messages of support we have received from distributors, decorators, retailers and even competitors. The heartfelt expressions of support meant a lot to all of us. Thank you all for the great experiences we have enjoyed together. Leaving Pioneer after 40+ years is difficult, but we’re proud of the accomplishments and positive leadership we provided the industry. The industry is resilient and better days are ahead.

Anagram International, which has been operating for over 40 years, has established Anagram International as its new EMEA head office, commencing operations in July 2024, to re-establish itself as an independent global company that prioritizes innovation and customer service. The experienced team from the former Pioneer Europe, located in Bishop’s Stortford, UK, will lead this initiative, managing the distribution of Anagram’s and Pioneer’s product ranges across the EMEA region. This strategic acquisition is expected to develop the European balloon business further.
